Comments
Seiler Pianos are a well respected firm, making high quality pianos; all uprights we’ve come across have been overstrung under-dampers. Upright Seilers made around 1900 are often very tall walnut or rosewood pianos with a deep rich tone. Those made from 1920 to about 1945 are mostly tall mahogany pianos and very stable in central heating. In 2000 they were still manufacturing about 1000 excellent pianos annually. There are several excellent modern Seiler grand pianos in the UK. Many new Seilers have decorative casework.
