Comments
Haake upright pianos are generally tall (125cm+) and have walnut or rosewood cases. They have a unique, warm and interesting tone; but most of the ones we have come across have needed extensive action restoration. Grand pianos are mostly walnut. The construction of the piano and the action is not always standard and therefore parts may have to be specially made. Main retail outlet from 1910 was Cranes of Liverpool and London. Karl Haake Pianos probably closed in about 1930. (Updated 2026)
