Very varied and prolific historical English maker. There are many very old Brinsmead grands and uprights in the UK, dating from about 1860 to 1900. Brinsmead were an innovative firm, and so its hard to say whether a piano from this era is worth restoring or whether the innovation turned to be not that good an idea! If youre buying an older Brinsmead then seek the advice of a good restorer. Grands and uprights from about 1900 are made with great integrity and generally restore well.
